Andrew Gay practises exclusively as a trial lawyer specializing in complex litigation and tribunal work. He has appeared in the British Columbia courts and the Supreme Court of Canada. He has extensive experience in public authority liability cases and complex tort litigation, including class proceedings, as well as commercial and employment litigation. Andrew recently authored the chapter "Nuisance" in K. Horsman and G. Morley, eds., Government Liability: Law and Practice (Aurora: Canada Law Book, 2007).
Andrew is an Adjunct Professor at the University of British Columbia Law School where he teaches a course on government liability.
Andrew is a member of the Canadian Bar Association including the Civil Litigation and Class Action Subsections and is a member of the Canadian Bar Association (B.C.) Sections Committee. He has been a participant in the Inns of Court Program for young lawyers has acted as a moot court judge and has acted as a mentor to students at the University of British Columbia Law School. Andrew is a member of the Vancouver-based Advocates Club.
