Scott Dallen

Scott maintains a diverse litigation practice with experience in defamation, class actions, employment, administrative, and commercial law.

Scott joined the firm after starting his legal career on Toronto’s Bay Street, where he learned the values of hard work and vigorous advocacy. He has appeared as counsel at all levels of court in Ontario, at numerous administrative tribunals, and as junior counsel at the Supreme Court of Canada. He has successfully defended charges under the Criminal Code, the Shipping Act, and the Cannabis Act.

Scott received his Honours B.A. in International Relations and Peace, Conflict, and Justice studies from the University of Toronto. After working as a political speechwriter, and a stint at Canada’s embassy in Washington, D.C., he completed his J.D. at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. At law school, Scott was an active member of the mooting program where he received distinguished oralist and writing awards. He has since returned as an instructor with the trial advocacy program, and as a guest lecturer on legal writing, defamation, and private international law.

Outside of work, Scott can be found in the mountains with his bike and skis, writing for a music blog, or testing his wits at pub trivia. He is an active member of the Canadian Bar Association and currently serves on the Board of ProAction Cops & Kids.
