Emma joined the firm after clerking for five justices of the British Columbia Supreme Court. Prior to her clerkship, she articled at a national law firm focused on serving Indigenous governments and organizations, where she worked on Aboriginal rights and title litigation.

Emma received her J.D. from the Peter A. Allard School of Law. During her time there, she was a clinician with the International Justice and Human Rights clinic, working on international matters related to the intersection of human rights and climate change. Emma was also a research assistant while at law school, examining legal issues arising from homelessness, and conducting a review of constitutional law in Latin America. In her final year, Emma received an award for excellence in human rights law and competed in the Laskin Moot.

Outside of work, Emma enjoys reading, writing and gardening. She also volunteers with the Parkinson Society British Columbia.
